Who we are
The Dance Society is a Latin and ballroom dance studio at 55 Administration Rd, Ste 14, Vaughan, ON L4K 4G9. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Questions or requests: studio@thedancesociety.ca or +1 (416) 857-0255.
What we collect and why
When you send an inquiry, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email, phone number (optional), the program you're interested in, your experience level, who will be dancing, and your message. We use it only to reply to you and arrange lessons. We do not ask for payment details on this website.
We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing messages unless you clearly ask us to.
Children
We teach children and teens, but inquiries about anyone under 18 should come from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Service providers we use
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) delivers inquiry form messages to our email inbox. See FormSubmit's privacy policy.
- Netlify hosts this website and, like any web host, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's fonts. Loading them sends your IP address and browser details to Google.
- Google Maps is only loaded on the Contact page if you click "Show Map". Google may then set cookies and collect data under Google's privacy policy.
Links to Instagram and Google Maps take you to those services, where their own privacy policies apply. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States.

This website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking pixels.

How long we keep it
We keep inquiry emails only as long as needed to respond and to look after you as a student, and no longer than two years after our last contact with you, unless the law requires otherwise.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, withdraw your consent, or have it deleted. Email studio@thedancesociety.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Website terms
The content, logo and design of this website belong to The Dance Society and may not be copied without permission. Program details, schedules and pricing are provided for general information and are confirmed when you book. This website and these terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
